This
year is the centenary of the recovery,
restoration and re-opening of Duart Castle, the
seat of the Chiefs of the Clan Maclean and home
to all members of the Clan Maclean world-wide.
Many Clan members have signified
a wish to make a gift of appreciation to the
Chief and his family in celebration of the
Centenary. After considering various
options and consulting with the Chief, it has
been decided to ask all Associations and their
members to join together in order to pay for new
OAK GATES for the entrance to the Castle.

"MEMBERS of a
Highland clan from
across the world are
to join together to
give their chief new
gates for his castle
to replace the
temporary ones used
for the last 100
years."
